You want a love that consumes you.

Today I didn't work that much because my host family is out of town over the weekend and already left around 2pm, so I had a really nice relaxing day and later on I went to the Macy's Sales Day with a friend. I didn't buy anything that was on clearence, but I don't really care because most of the stuff was still too expensive and I have to save money for my roadtrip anyway.

Purple Rain.

I took these pictures last Saturday in Mill Valley, it it almost too beautiful there.

I was wearing a dress from Goodwill ($4,99), ballet flats from Primark (€3 ?), a straw hat from Goodwill ($2,99) and a denim jacket (Hospice Thrift Store, $4)

Sitting at the lake late at night after a beautiful day in Mill Valley was so incredible peaceful and quiet, unfortunately I ended up being dinner for the mosquitoes.

Coconut Oil.

After weeks of mostly rain, hail and storms (What the hell was that? The great deluge or what?!) it looks like summer finally arrives here in Northern California and nobody could be happier than me!

My lovely friend Julia currently asks on her blog: "Which beauty products remind you of summer?" and I cannot help myself but thinking that my beauty essential number 1 might have helped me to get a slight tan although I normally have pretty fair skin and problems to get tan at all (I have a reputation for being the girl who either turns lobster red or coming back from vacation still looking like a snowflake).

So my summer essential is... Coconut Oil!

First of all, the smell. Mmmmmmmh! Second: You can use it for everything and lazy as I am that's exactly what I need. I put it in my hair, either overnight as a mask or just a tiny little bit in my tips to moisturize them, on my body and even on my cleaned face. And my very dry skin and hair thank me with a healthy shine.

Benefits, benefits, benefits. And did I mention the delicious smell?

If you're going to San Francisco...

...make sure to wear some flowers in your hair!

Gut, ich hatte keine Blumen im Haar aber zumindest hab ich meine geliebte Golden Gate Bridge wieder gesehen. Ich hab wirklich keine Ahnung wie eine Brücke so eine Anziehungkraft haben kann, aber ich hab mich sofort verliebt als ich das erste Mal drüber gefahren bin. Und wir reden hier nicht von nem Kerl, sondern von einer Brücke, soweit ist es jetzt schon mit mir-  Es ist einfach eine unglaublich schöne Konstruktion und ein wirklich irreales Gefühl tatsächlich davor zu stehen. Das nächste Mal wenn wir nach San Francisco fahren (hoffentlich diesen Sonntag, allerdings soll es regen also vielleicht eher nicht) werden wir uns auf jeden Fall noch einen Punkt suchen der ein bisschen näher ist und mehr Fotos machen!

Well, I didn't have the flowers but at least I got to see my beloved Golden Gate Bridge again. I don't know how a bridge can have such a power of attraction but really fell for it the moment I first drove over it. We're not talking about a guy but of a bridge... something is incredible wrong with me- It's just such a beautiful construction and irreal feeling to really stay in front of it. The next time we go to San Francisco (hopefully this Sunday, it's supposed to rain though so probably not) we'll definitely go to a closer spot to make some more pictures!

DIY: Aztec Print Cut Offs. Shorts #1

Quick, easy and oh so inexpensive! I paid about $2 for old denim pants at the thrift store, cut them off, drew on the aztec print and voilà! I had fabric markers anyway, but I guess if you go to your local arts and crafts store it won't cost you more than three bucks to get one.

Ich hab alle drei Schönheiten in den letzen Tagen gekauft und bin mehr als zufrieden damit, vorallem das Hemd mit dem doppelten Kragen hat es mir angetan und ich hab schon tausende Kombinationsmöglichkeiten im Kopf. Der grünlich- goldene Glanz ist einfach wunderschön!

I bought all these cuties in the past few days and I'm more than happy with them, especially with the double collared shirt. I have at least a thousand ideas how to combine it already and I just love the greenish golden shimmer!
