OOTD, Oct. 18th

ZURÜCK IN DER REALITÄT 

Und das schon seit genau 4 Wochen... die Zeit geht einfach wahnsinnig schnell vorbei und ich bin wirklich überrascht, dass ich schon so lange wieder zurück in Deutschland bin. Es hat sich gleichzeitig viel und überhaupt nichts verändert und je mehr ich zwischen meinen alten Möbeln und Kinderbüchern sitze, desto mehr bekomme ich das Gefühl, ab nächsten Montag wieder in die Schule gehen zu müssen. Dass ich letzten Monat noch über die Golden Gate Bridge gelaufen bin, kommt mir vor wie ein Traum und nach dem ersten großen Tief in dem ich nach meiner Ankunft hier war, gehts so wie es aussieht jetzt langsam aber sicher wieder voran...

Back in reality and that already since 4 weeks... time just flies and I'm totally surprised, that I'm really back in Germany since such a long time. So much and nothing has changed at the same time and the more I'M sitting in between my old furniture and childrens books the more I feel like I have to back to school next week... that I walked over the Golden Gate Bridge just a month ago seems like a dream. But after the first few weeks of feeling really sorry for myself it looks like everything is going in the right direction again...

The beach is so cold in winter here.

Yesterdays' outfit, probably the last with my beloved selfmade cut offs. I have the feeling I left them too long in the bleach so that the denim became really thin and porous... they are pretty much falling apart. I guess I'll do the same with another pair of pants and just be more careful the next time.

Goood, my allergies are killing me! What is this place?! As much as I love to be here, this has to stop... and I'm already taking those glorious pills they show all over the commercials.
Btw: I should strap them nicer the next time but Julia, are these shoes better?

Today I didn't work that much because my host family is out of town over the weekend and already left around 2pm, so I had a really nice relaxing day and later on I went to the Macy's Sales Day with a friend. I didn't buy anything that was on clearence, but I don't really care because most of the stuff was still too expensive and I have to save money for my roadtrip anyway.

Purple Rain.

I took these pictures last Saturday in Mill Valley, it it almost too beautiful there.

I was wearing a dress from Goodwill ($4,99), ballet flats from Primark (€3 ?), a straw hat from Goodwill ($2,99) and a denim jacket (Hospice Thrift Store, $4)

The human body is built to live up to 190 years. We all die young.

Sitting at the lake late at night after a beautiful day in Mill Valley was so incredible peaceful and quiet, unfortunately I ended up being dinner for the mosquitoes.

Ich hab alle drei Schönheiten in den letzen Tagen gekauft und bin mehr als zufrieden damit, vorallem das Hemd mit dem doppelten Kragen hat es mir angetan und ich hab schon tausende Kombinationsmöglichkeiten im Kopf. Der grünlich- goldene Glanz ist einfach wunderschön!

I bought all these cuties in the past few days and I'm more than happy with them, especially with the double collared shirt. I have at least a thousand ideas how to combine it already and I just love the greenish golden shimmer!

Mein heutiges Outfit, das möglicherweise ein bisschen zu übertrieben war um mit meinen Hostkids auf den Spielplatz zu gehen, allerdings konnte ich nicht wiederstehen, meinen ebenfalls im Secondhandladen erstandenen Rock anzuziehen. Eigentlich ist er wesentlich länger, ungefähr mittlere Wadenlänge, was mir leider gar nicht steht. Ich hab ihn deswegen heute oben in die Strumpfhose geklemmt um ihn ein wenig zu kürzen, ohne direkt den überschüssigen Stoff abzuschneiden. Ich weiß auch noch nicht genau, ob ich den Rock wirklich ndgültig kürzen möchte, oder ob er icht in seiner vollen Länge noch andersweitig tragbar ist.

Todays Outfit, maybe a little bit too much to wear it to the playground, but I couldn't resist throwing on this skirt I also got at the thrift store. Normally its much longer but I wore it tucked into my tights because I like it more like that, I'm still not quite sure if I want to cut it a little bit.
