Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

WELL, THIS IS A FIRST...

Ich sollte an dieser Stelle möglicherweise erwähnen, dass dieses Schätzchen mein erster wirklicher Versuch guter Hautpflege und somit ein ziemlich großer Schritt für mich ist. Ich hab erst vor ein paar Monaten das erste Mal über bessere Produkte und- ich wage es kaum auszusprechen- eine ganze Hautpflege Routine nachgedacht... ziemlich peinlich wenn man bedenkt, dass ich fast 22 bin.

I propably have to admit that this baby is the very first proper cleanser I've ever used, so this is quite a big step for me. I first started thinking about better skincare products and- who would have ever thought- a whole routine a few month ago... a shame if you consider the fact that I am almost 22. 

Aber eins nach dem anderen. Wie gesagt habe ich nie spezielle Hautreinigungsmittel benutzt, alles was ich hatte waren ein paar Sachen von Roßmann und d&m (und damit meine ich lausige Gesichtstücher und ne Wasch Lotion), die meiner Haut eher geschadet als geholfen haben.
Meine Haut war nicht absolut schrecklich, nicht dass wir uns da falsch verstehen, aber sie war definitiv auch nicht gut, extremst trocken mit konstanter Pickelbildung am Kinn (igitt!). Letztendlich kam es zu dem Punkt, dass ich nicht einmal mehr Foundation tragen konnte, weil diese einfach abgebröselt ist und ich ehrlich gesagt wie ne Echse aussah.

Ich musste also irgendwas ändern (in dem Fall alles, falls ich meine Haut noch ein bisschen länger behalten wollte), habe getan, was ein Mädchen tun muss und mir ein Youtube- Hautpflege- Video nach dem nächsten reingezogen um etwas zu finden, dass mich von meinem dezent reptilen Aussehen befreit. Und das hab ich. Ich hätte mich beinah für das Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm entschieden (möglicherweise das meist gehypte Produkt aller Zeiten?!), hab dann aber doch die Kontofreundlichere Variante, auch bekannt als Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, gewählt, die ich schon in meiner Wunschliste im Januar erwähnt habe.
Also hab ich Anfang Januar endlich bestellt und ich muss sagen, es ist der Wahnsinn, wie ein einziges, gut überlegtes Produkt das Hautbild so ändern kann. Ich werde jetzt keine volle Review darüber schreiben, weils die wirklich schon zur Genüge gibt, trotzdem will ich ein bisschen meinen Senf dazu geben, weil ich den Kauf des trotzallem nicht günstigen Cleansers definitiv nicht bereue! Das Musselintuch, welches dabei ist, hat in Kombination mit dem eigentlichen Produkt super gegen die ganzen trockenen Stellen geholfen, meine Haut ist wesentlich glatter und es ist sogar Anderen aufgefallen, dass sie wesentlich besser aussieht.

But one thing after another. Like I said I've never used any particular products, everything I had were some products from my local drug store (and by that I mean face wipes to remove make up and a face wash) which quite frankly didn't do anything for me. 

My skin wasn't totally horrible, don't get me wrong, but it was very dry with constant break outs on my chin (yikes!) and it came to the point where I wasn't even able to wear foundation anymore because it would simply "fall off" my face. To be honest I looked like a lizard.
I knew that I had to change something (or better better everything if I want to keep my skin a bit longer) and went full on female by watching one youtube skincare video after another to find something that would help me to get rid of my reptile appearance. And I did. I almost chose the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm (probably the most hyped product ever?!) but I've opted for the much more realistically priced Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser which I've already mentioned in my January wishlist.
So in the beginning of March I finally ordered it and it is amazing how even one single well thought out product can change the skin. I am not going to write a full review because there are numerous out there, but I wanted to put in my two cents by saying that I definitely don't regret buying the rather pricey Cleanser! The muslin cloth that comes with it really helped with the dry patches, my skin is much smoother and people even commented on how it obviously improved.

Ich bin dem ganzen total verfallen, nicht nur diesem speziellen Cleanser, sondern der ganzen Idee eines Beauty Regimes, ich möchte Tonnen teurer Hautpflegeprodukte kaufen. Das wäre wahrscheinlich sogar super für meine Haut (meine neue beste Freundin) und mich, allerdings eher weniger für mein eh schon weinendes Konto. Mmmh, da fällt mir ein, dass ich da doch noch ne Michael Todd Gesichtsmaske bestellt hab...

I am hooked, not only on this particular Cleanser but on the whole idea of buying tons of skincare products. Might be great for me and my new bff skin, not so much for my weeping bank account though. Mmmh, I just ordered a Michael Todd face mask...

Ich glaube ich habe vor ungefähr drei Jahren angefangen, Pixiwoo zu abonnieren und seitdem kaum ein Video verpasst. Sam und Nic sind unglaubliche Make Up Artist, ihre Tutorials sind super und ich habe das Gefühl, wirklich viel von ihnen gelernt zu haben.
Ganz besonders verliebt bin ich in Sams "Ombre Brows & Lips Tutorial", ich würde so gerne versuchen es nachzuschminken, allerdings befürchte ich, dass es noch nicht mal halb so toll wie an ihr aussehen würde.

I think I subscribed to Pixiwoo around three years ago and I've barely missed any of their videos. Sam and Nic are amazing Make-up Artists, their tutorials are great and I feel like I've learned a lot from them.

I especially love love love Sam's "Ombre Brows & Lips Tutorial" which I posted below, 

I would really like to try to recreate this look, but I'm afraif that I won't look half as stunning as her.

Coconut Oil.

After weeks of mostly rain, hail and storms (What the hell was that? The great deluge or what?!) it looks like summer finally arrives here in Northern California and nobody could be happier than me!

My lovely friend Julia currently asks on her blog: "Which beauty products remind you of summer?" and I cannot help myself but thinking that my beauty essential number 1 might have helped me to get a slight tan although I normally have pretty fair skin and problems to get tan at all (I have a reputation for being the girl who either turns lobster red or coming back from vacation still looking like a snowflake).

So my summer essential is... Coconut Oil!

First of all, the smell. Mmmmmmmh! Second: You can use it for everything and lazy as I am that's exactly what I need. I put it in my hair, either overnight as a mask or just a tiny little bit in my tips to moisturize them, on my body and even on my cleaned face. And my very dry skin and hair thank me with a healthy shine.

Benefits, benefits, benefits. And did I mention the delicious smell?
